Lessons are taught by Red Cross certified instructors and follow the Learn to Swim curriculum.  Lessons are held Mon-Thurs, in two-week increments.

No lessons the week of 7/7-7/11

If your child is attending SAFE HAVEN we ask that they are registered for the 9:00 sessions.

Level 1 "Intro to Water Skills"- Swimmers learn to comfortably submerge, float and move forward in the water; they are learning front and back glides and kicks, front to back rollovers, jumping and retrieving objects with assistance.

Level 2 "Fundamental Aquatic Skills"- Swimmers are introduced to freestyle arm and leg movements, rhythmic breathing, backstroke, elementary backstroke and treading. They will advance to swimming in deep water. 

Level 3 "Stroke Development"- Swimmers build upon skills learned in level 2; rotary breathing, front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, treading. They also begin diving, scissor kick and dolphin kick. Swimmers need to float independently on their backs to enter class.
