Swim Lessons

Lessons are taught by Red Cross certified instructors and follow the Learn to Swim curriculum.  Lessons are held Mon-Thurs, in two-week increments.



Parent/Child- Tues/Thurs Lessons (6/23, 6/25, 6/30, 7/2) 4:00-4:30
Preschool Swim- Tues/Thurs Lessons (6/23, 6/25, 6/30, 7/2) 4:45-5:30

Session 1 with Alex- 6/22-7/2 Mon-Thurs
Session 2 with Olivia- 6/29-7/9 Mon- Thurs
Session 3 with Olivia- 7/13-7/16 and 7/20-7/21 and 7/27-7/28 
Session 4 with Alex- 8/10-8/20 Mon-Thurs

Level 1 "Intro to Water Skills"- Swimmers learn to comfortably submerge, float and move forward in the water; they are learning front and back glides and kicks, front to back rollovers, jumping and retrieving objects with assistance.

Level 2 "Fundamental Aquatic Skills"- Swimmers are introduced to freestyle arm and leg movements, rhythmic breathing, backstroke, elementary backstroke and treading. They will advance to swimming in deep water. 

Level 3 "Stroke Development"- Swimmers build upon skills learned in level 2; rotary breathing, front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, treading. They also begin diving, scissor kick and dolphin kick. Swimmers need to float independently on their backs to enter class.
